Ducati Quick Change Rear Sprocket Carrier Fits all years of Ducati 748, 848, 916, 996, 998, Monster S2R, S4R(RS), Multistrada 1000/1100, MH900e, and Hypermotard. Our beautifully CNC machined sprocket carrier allows the stock rear sprocket to be easily replaced without the need to remove the rear wheel and disassemble the cush drive assembly, as is required with the factory sprocket. Once our carrier is installed in place of the factory sprocket, future sprocket changes can be performed quickly and easily with just the removal of the 5 bolts holding the sprocket to the carrier. The carrier also holds the the cush drives from backing out, a common problem on these models. This system is ideal for use on Race Bikes, Track Day Bikes or just to "Trick Out" your street Ducati. This rear sprocket carrier is precision CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum alloy and then anodized to enhance beauty and prevent corrosion. Weight is only 22.3 ounces complete with hardware and a 39 tooth 520 AFAM sprocket. Compare that to a stock 38 tooth 520 sprocket weight of 38 ounces, and you lose a pound of rotating weight! Even more weight is lost when converting from 525 sprockets! The Carrier is available in Silver, Black, or Gold, please specify color when purchasing. The carrier accepts AFAM Q/C sprockets, available in 520 or 525. This product includes sprocket carrier and stainless steel hardware.
